Proper Tools Make Lighter Work

I was excited to try out my new mid-arm machine and frame to start quilting the panels commissioned by Christ Lutheran Church.

Visitors to my studio only see my regular home sewing machine. "Do you quilt on that?" they ask, unsure how something large could fit on a small machine.

While it is possible, it is much easier to use a midarm machine and frame. This is my setup for larger work. I get to "drive" my machine. And the work goes so much faster! It took a fraction of the time, and a tiny fraction of the wrestling, to simply quilt this with a larger machine. This was a smart move.
